Minsan, nakakapagod din mag-usap tungkol sa eschatology (ang pag-aaral ng end times), 'di ba? Sa dami ng mga YouTube videos at "prophecy experts" diyan, madali tayong malito. Pero may isang accusation na madalas gamitin kapag hindi ka sang-ayon sa dispensationalism: "Replacement Theology" daw ang hawak mong pananaw.

Parang ito na ang "boogeyman" ng mga dispensationalists. Kapag gipit na sa debate, sasabihin nila, "Ah, replacement theology ka pala! That’s heresy!" o kaya "Demonic cancer iyan sa Church!"

Pero sa totoo lang, ito ay isang red herring. Ginagamit lang nila ito para ilihis ang usapan at pagtakpan ang mga butas sa sarili nilang logic. Bilang isang naniniwala sa New Covenant Theology at Partial Preterism, gusto kong linawin: hindi natin pinalitan ang Israel. Sa katunayan, ang fulfillment ng lahat ng pangako ng Diyos ay matatagpuan sa Israel at ang Israel na iyon ay ang Assembly (Ekklēsia) na binubuo ng mga Judio at Hentil na naniniwala kay Kristo.

Ano nga ba ang "Replacement Theology"?

Ang definition ng mga dispensationalists para sa Replacement Theology (o supersessionism) ay ganito: Itinuturo daw nito na itinakwil na ng Diyos ang mga Judio at wala na silang papel sa redemptive history. Sinasabi raw na ang Church ay "pumalit" sa Israel at ang mga pangako para sa Israel ay sa atin na lang.

Wait, hindi iyon ang turo ng Bibliya.

Sa ating pananaw, hindi "pinalitan" ng Kristiyanismo ang Judaism. Tignan natin ang genealogy sa Matthew at Luke si Jesus ay "Anak ni David, Anak ni Abraham." Bakit pa tayo babalik sa mga anino ng Old Covenant (land, stone, animal sacrifices) kung mayroon na tayong "better covenant" at "better promises" kay Kristo (Hebrews 8:6)?

"But Jesus has now obtained a superior ministry, and to that degree he is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been established on better promises." Hebrews 8:6(CSB)

Ang "Anti-Semitic" Card

Ito ang nakakalungkot: ginagamit ang akusasyong "anti-semitic" o "replacement theology" para patahimikin ang sinumang hindi sumasang-ayon sa dispensational premillennialism. Kapag sinabi mong hindi mo nakikita ang future rebuilding ng third temple sa Bibliya, tatawagin kang "hater" o "anti-Judaism."

Pero teka lang. Kung tutuusin, ang dispensationalism pa nga ang may problema pagdating sa "national Israel" ngayon. Marami sa kanila ang naniniwala na ang Israel ay kailangang dumaan sa isang matinding "Great Tribulation" kung saan dalawang-katlo (2/3) ng mga Judio ang mapapatay. Iyan ang tawag nila sa "purification."

Sa totoo lang, bilang mga naniniwala sa Postmillennialism, naniniwala tayo na ang tagumpay ng Gospel ay mas malawak. Hindi natin hinihintay ang pagkasira ng mundo o ang pagkaubos ng mga Judio. Naniniwala tayo na ang mga Judio, gaya ng kahit sinong tao, ay kailangang lumapit kay Jesus. Kapag ginawa nila iyon, bahagi na sila ng iisang katawan ni Kristo. Iyan ang tunay na "fullness" ng Israel!

Ang Katotohanan: Fulfillment, Hindi Replacement

Sa Jeremiah 31:35-36, nangako ang Diyos na hangga't umiiral ang buwan at bituin, hindi matatapos ang Israel bilang bayan ng Diyos.

35 “This is what the LORD says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar the LORD of Armies is his name: 36 If this fixed order departs from before me this is the LORD’s declaration only then will Israel’s descendants cease to be a nation before me forever." Jeremiah 31:35-36(CSB)

Hindi ito nagbabago. Ang pagkakaiba lang, sa New Covenant, ang "bayan ng Diyos" ay hindi na nakakulong sa lahi o sa lupain ng Palestina. Ang "bayan ng Diyos" ay ang lahat ng sumasampalataya kay Jesus, ang Anak ni Abraham at David.

²⁸ "There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:28-29(CSB)

Note:

• Pagbasag sa limitasyon ng lahi: Malinaw na sinasabi ng talata na wala nang pagtatangi sa pagitan ng "Jew or Greek" (Hentil).
  
  
• Pagkakaisa kay Kristo: Ang pagiging "Abraham’s seed" ay hindi na sa pamamagitan ng dugo o lahi, kundi sa pamamagitan ng pagiging "belong to Christ."

Hindi na natin kailangan ng "postponed" na prophecy clock.

• Wala ng animal sacrifices dahil si Kristo ang huling hain.

• Wala ng paghihiwalay sa pagitan ng Judio at Hentil sa loob ng simbahan dahil "isa" na tayo sa Panginoon.
  
  
• Wala ng "Church Age" na pampalit sa Israel; ang Church ay ang Israel of God na pinalawak para sa lahat ng bansa.
  

Fulfillment: Ito ay direktang nagpapatunay na ang lahat ng sumasampalataya kay Jesus ay bahagi na ng bayan ng Diyos, dahil sila ang tunay na tagapagmana ng pangako.

Today, I want to talk about something that hits close to home for many of us in the church, especially here in the Philippines. Alam niyo naman sa ating culture, mahilig tayo sa "end times" talk. Tuwing may balita tungkol sa Israel o sa Middle East, biglang dadami ang posts sa Facebook about the "Rapture" and how the world is ending soon.

Madalas nating marinig: "Israel is a nation again! This is the sign that the Rapture is near!"

Pero, let’s do a bit of "real talk" and Bible study. Is it really biblical to claim that the modern state of Israel is the "super sign" of the Rapture? Or are we just caught in a loop of confusing theology?

The "Signless" Paradox: May Warning o Wala?

Isa sa main tenets ng Dispensationalism (yung system of interpretation na madalas gamitin sa mga "Left Behind" type of preaching) ay ang doctrine ng Imminency. Sinasabi nila na ang Rapture ay signless. Ibig sabihin, wala dapat mangyari bago ito mag-happen. Pwede siyang mangyari anytime, even before the tribulation begins.

Ang gulo lang, 'di ba? Kasi, the very same people who teach that the Rapture is "signless" are the same people writing books filled with "signs" of the times.

Isipin mo ito: Sabi nina John MacArthur, Mark Hitchcock, at marami pang iba, "No signs necessary for the Rapture." Pero sa kabilang banda, susulat sila ng mga libro na pinapaliwanag na ang pag-usbong ng Israel noong 1948, ang European Union, o ang pag-unlad ng technology ay mga signs na malapit na ang Rapture.

Para itong prophetic schizophrenia. Sinasabi nilang walang sign, pero todo-benta sila ng mga librong naglilista ng mga signs.

Ang "Stage-Setting" Excuse

Kapag tinanong mo sila kung bakit sila naglilista ng signs kung "signless" naman ang Rapture, ang sagot nila ay: "We are stage-setting." Sinasabi nila na kahit hindi pa fulfill ang prophecy ngayon, God is just "preparing the stage" for the future Tribulation period.

Pero honestly, logic-wise, hindi ito papasa. Kung kailangan pa ng "stage-setting," tulad ng pagtatatag ng state of Israel, para mangyari ang end-time events, eh di hindi pala "imminent" ang Rapture for the past 1,900 years! Kung ang pagiging bansa ng Israel ang "Super Sign," edi dapat hindi inasahan ng mga Christians noon (like those in Paul’s time) na babalik si Jesus, dahil wala pa naman ang state of Israel noon, 'di ba?

Ang logic ng imminency requires that nothing needs to happen. Pero ginagawa nilang "prerequisite" ang pagkakaroon ng modern state of Israel. It’s a contradiction.

The Fig Tree Myth

Marami ang gumagamit sa Matthew 24:32: "Now learn the parable from the fig tree..." para sabihing ang "fig tree" ay Israel, at ang pag-bloom nito (1948) ay sign na malapit na ang summer (the End).

Pero, let's be real sa context:

Walang exclusivity: Sa Bible, ang Israel ay tinatawag ding vine, olive tree, at cedar. Ang fig tree ay hindi exclusive code for Israel.

Luke’s Account: Sa Luke 21:29, sabi ni Jesus, "Look at the fig tree and all the trees." Kung "Israel" ang fig tree, ano naman ang "all the trees"? Bakit hindi ’yon pinapaliwanag?

Nature Lesson: Simply put, Jesus was giving a nature lesson. Kapag nakita mong nagkakadahon ang puno, alam mong malapit na ang summer. It’s a general observation of the seasons, not a secret code about 1948.

The Better View: Kingdom Growth 

Instead of living in fear, waiting for a "sign" to escape via Rapture, bakit hindi natin tingnan ang Kingdom of God sa paraang ginagawa ng mga Reformed theologians?

Ang kingdom ni Kristo ay hindi "naka-pause" habang naghihintay ng Rapture. It is currently growing. As a Partial Preterist, I believe that the prophecies in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24) had their primary fulfillment in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

And as a Postmillennialist, I believe the Great Commission is actually working! The gospel is conquering nations. The Kingdom is not waiting for a political state in the Middle East to "start" the clock; the clock is already ticking, and the Kingdom is advancing through the preaching of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Real Talk Reflection

Bible Verse:

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." (Matthew 24:36)

Call to Action: Stop obsessing over the newspaper headlines as if they are the "Bible" for our generation. Stop waiting for a "sign" to escape. Instead, focus on the here and now. The mandate is clear: go and make disciples of all nations.

If we are truly living in the "last days" (which the New Testament authors described as the time starting from the early church), then our job is not to track geopolitical signs, but to track how well we are living out the Gospel. The Danger of Date-Setting: We must learn from the mistakes of the past. When we force current events into the prophecy of AD 70, we are misreading the text just as A.W. Pink did in 1918 before correcting his view.

The Proper Response: The Bible does not call us to be "prophecy detectives" looking for signs of the end of the world in the news. It calls us to be "faithful slaves" living lives of love, integrity, and readiness as if He were coming today, regardless of the timing of the calendar.

Final Thought: The Second Coming is the ultimate surprise. Our focus should be on the Master, not the mechanics of the timeline.

Let’s be real: dito sa atin sa Pilipinas, usong-uso ang mga prophecy conferences. Madalas, ang focus ay ang future ng Israel, at madalas din, it’s framed in a way na parang kung hindi ka Dispensationalist, kung hindi ka naghihintay ng "secret rapture" o Third Temple, hindi mo "sineseryoso" ang mga promises ng Diyos sa mga Judio.

I’ve had a few friends ask me about John MacArthur’s 2007 talk sa Shepherds’ Conference titled “Why Every Self-Respecting Calvinist Is a Premillennialist.” Nakikinig ako, and honestly? Medyo out of character siya. The tone felt a bit sharp, at may pagka-desperateparang he’s feeling the foundation of Dispensationalism shaking.

Sabi ni Pastor John, kung naniniwala ka sa "sovereign election" ng individual para sa salvation, dapat naniniwala ka rin sa "sovereign election" ng Israel, at ang tanging way daw para gawin yun ay maging Dispensationalist. Sabi niya, election cuts both ways.

Pero wait. Let’s pause and check the history and the Scriptures. Kasi, hindi naman tama na sabihing ang Dispensationalism lang ang may "hope" para sa Israel.

The Historical Reality Check

Marami sa atin ang nakalimot na bago pa sumikat ang modern Dispensationalism (na nag-start lang talaga nung late 19th century, lalo na nung lumabas ang Scofield Reference Bible noong 1909), ang mga Reformers at ang mga Puritans ay may malalim na paniniwala tungkol sa future ng Israel.

Hindi sila Dispensationalists, pero look at their history:

The Puritans: Figures like Bucer, Beza, Peter Martyr, at the editors of the Geneva Bible sila lahat ay naniniwalang may "fullness" o conversion na mangyayari sa mga Judio.

Westminster Confession: Kahit hindi ito explicit sa Confession mismo, makikita mo ang paniniwalang ito sa Westminster Larger Catechism (Q191) at sa Westminster Directory of Worship.

Ang great majority ng mga Reformed thinkers noon, they expected the Gospel to spread worldwide, the conversion of the Jews, the fullness of the Gentiles, and the eventual fall of the Antichrist. Ito ang matagal nang Reformed eschatology.

So, to claim that only Dispensationalists take Israel seriously? That’s historical revisionism. Pinapalabas na bago lang ang konsepto ng future para sa Israel, pero history tells us otherwise.

The "Remnant" Logic (What Paul Really Said)

Balikan natin ang Bible. Ang argument ni MacArthur ay parang kailangan ng isang "national state" para maging "elected" ang Israel. But let’s look at Romans 9-11.

Paul says:

“THOUGH THE NUMBER OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL BE LIKE THE SAND OF THE SEA, IT IS THE REMNANT THAT WILL BE SAVED” (Rom. 9:27).

Paul makes it clear: ang election ng Diyos ay laging tungkol sa remnant. Noong panahon ni Elijah, akala niya siya lang mag-isa, pero ang sagot ng Diyos ay, "I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal" (Rom. 11:4).

Ang logic ni Paul ay simple: Ang "All Israel" (Rom. 11:26) ay hindi tumutukoy sa bawat Israelite sa bawat henerasyon, o sa isang political state. It refers to the elect of Israel at a certain point in history.

But as we look at the Reformed tradition, yung mga Reformers na matibay ang kapit sa sovereign grace, nakikita natin na ang future ng Israel ay hindi hiwalay sa future ng Church. It is the victory of the Gospel.

Hindi kailangan ng Dispensationalism para magkaroon ng "redemptive future" ang Israel. Ang kailangan lang natin ay maniwala sa kapangyarihan ng Gospel, the fullness of the Gentiles, at ang katapatan ng Diyos sa Kanyang tipan, the New Covenant, that covers all His people, Jew and Gentile alike.

Reflection Note:

It’s easy to get caught up in the latest prophecy chart or the latest headline about the Middle East. Pero, let’s trust in the bigger picture. God is sovereign over history, and His plan is neither failing nor dependent on human political systems. It is dependent on Christ, who is the King of kings right now.

Isang viral YouTube video lang tungkol sa nagaganap sa Middle East, o kaya balita tungkol sa paglipat sa cashless systems gamit ang e-wallets, biglang magpa-panic ang buong Christian Facebook feed natin. Takutan na naman, share dito, share doon.

Pero kung hihimayin natin ang kasaysayan ng ganitong uri ng eschatology (end-times theology), mapapansin mong matagal na tayong pinaiikot-ikot sa parehong cycle ng panandaliang takot at recycled marketing.

Ang Negosyo ng "End Times" Sensationalism

Let’s look at some history. May isang sikat na dispensationalist na may-akda, si John Walvoord. Noong matapos ang Gulf War, ang libro niya ay ibinebenta na lang sa halagang twenty-five cents kada kopya kapag binuod mo! Pero bago mangyari 'yun, ang libro niya ay nakabenta na ng halos 1.7 million copies at nakakuha pa ng Platinum Book Award mula sa Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.

Grabe ang kita, 'di ba? Dahil patuloy ang takbo ng mundo, inilabas ng Tyndale House Publishers ang ikatlong edisyon noong 2007 na may bagong pamagat para sumabay sa uso: Armageddon, Oil, and Terror.

Ang nakakatawa rito, tinanggal na nila 'yung sinulat ni Walvoord noong 1957 na: "There is no teaching of any intervening event." Pero ang promotional material nila? Todo sigaw pa rin na ang content daw ay:

“…is as current as today’s news … and every prediction rings true.”

Pamilyar ba ang linyahan? Siyempre! Ganyan na ganyan din ang eksaktong marketing catchphrase na ginamit nila noong 1974 para sa first edition ng Armageddon, Oil, and the Middle East Crisis. Dahil mabenta ang ganitong hula-hula books, Walvoord went on to write another book entitled Major Bible Prophecies: 37 Crucial Prophecies that Affect You Today.

Dito na pumasok ang matinding logical contradiction. Walvoord repeatedly taught his students and readers over the years na kapag sinunod mo nang tapat ang Kasulatan, makikita mong walang kahit anong signs na ibinigay bago ang Rapture. It is supposed to be imminent pwedeng mangyari any moment, signless, at walang abiso. Pero bakit punong-puno ng "signs mula sa balita" ang mga libro niya?

Ang Magulong Logic ng "Signless Event" na may "Signs."

Hindi lang si Walvoord ang biktima ng sarili niyang theology. Marami silang magkakasama sa industriyang ito na pumupuri sa ideya ng imminency, pero gumagawa naman ng librong nagpapabulaan dito.

J. F. Strombeck (First the Rapture): Sabi niya, dapat asahan ng mga Kristiyano si Jesus "at any moment." Pero ang opening paragraph niya, puro pananakot gamit ang hula ni H. G. Wells na malapit na raw magwakas ang mundo, pati quotes mula sa mga heneral at gobernador na nagsasabing 90% ng mga Amerikano ay mamamatay sa atom bomb sa loob ng limang taon. Sabi pa ni Strombeck, ang mga atom bomb na ito ang katuparan ng Great Tribulation sa Olivet Discourse!

The Logical Fail: Kung ang atom bomb ay prophetic sign, at na-imbento lang ang atom bomb noong 20th century... ibig sabihin, hindi pwedeng mangyari ang Rapture mula 1st century hanggang 19th century! Paano naging "at any moment" 'yun?

Wendell G. Johnston: Isinulat niya na ang pagdating ni Kristo ay imminent at walang kahit anong event sa Word of God na kailangang matupad muna. Pero sa parehong libro, bigla niyang sasabihin na: "Since 1948 Israel has been gaining in power... The Bible prophesies this will happen." Tapos nag-discuss pa siya tungkol sa Russia at Egypt bilang mga "signs." Doble-kara ang logic: sinabing "signless," pero naglista ng mga bansa bilang senyales.

Tim LaHaye & Mark Hitchcock: Si LaHaye ay may listahan ng 12 signs. Si Hitchcock naman ay may Seven Signs of the End Times, at ang number one sign niya ay ang pagbabalik ng mga Judio sa Israel. Dahil walang sinasabi ang New Testament tungkol sa muling pagtatatag ng Israel bilang sekular na bansa, pumunta siya sa Old Testament. Pero teka ayon sa mismong dispensationalism, hindi ba't ang "Church Age" ay isang misteryo na hindi kailanman binanggit sa Old Testament sa kahit anong paraan? Bakit ka kukuha ng sign doon para sa Church ngayon?

Kahit ang Premillennialists, Na-Umay Na Rin

Kahit ang mga kapwa nilang premillennialist ay napansin ang maling kalakaran na ito. Si John R. Rice, isang kilalang dispensationalist din, ay naging prangka at kritikal sa mga kasamahan niyang mahilig mag-imbento ng signs bago ang Rapture. Sabi niya:

"Ang kaugalian ng maraming premillennial Christians na mag-abang sa pagbabalik ni Kristo dahil lang sa First o Second World War, o dahil itinayo ng mga Zionists ang modernong bansa ng Israel sa Palestine... Ang mga taong ito ay mas nagpapakilos pa sa mga balita sa pahayagan kaysa sa malinaw na utos ng Panginoong Hesus."

Binigyang-diin ni Rice na ang paghahanap ng mga senyales tulad ng digmaan, lindol, taggutom, o ang pagsikat ng komunismo at sosyalismo ay direktang sumisira sa doktrina ng imminency. Kung kailangan muna ng mga 'yan para dumating si Jesus, ibig sabihin hindi Siya puwedeng dumating bago sumikat ang mga ideolohiyang 'yan.

Isang Mas Maayos at Mayamang Pananaw (Preterist Perspective)

Bilang mga believers na tumitingin sa Bibliya gamit ang Partial Preterist at Postmillennial lens, alam nating hindi natin kailangang sumayaw sa takot ng dyaryo at social media trends.

Ang totoo, ang mga mabibigat na hula sa Olivet Discourse (Gaya ng Matthew 24 at Luke 21) tungkol sa mga lindol, digmaan, at huwad na propeta ay nagbunga at natupad na noong Unang Siglo (AD 70), noong wasakin ang Templo sa Jerusalem. Hindi 'yan hula para sa nuclear warfare sa ating panahon!

Ang Bagong Tipan (New Covenant) ay hindi nag-iwan sa atin sa isang state ng perpetual panic kung saan kailangan nating hulaan kung aling giyera o aling app sa phone ang magpapadala sa atin sa kapahamakan. Si Kristo ay naghari na, ang Kanyang Kaharian ay patuloy na lumalago sa kasaysayan, at ang tungkulin natin ay hindi ang maging mga "prophecy watchers" na naghihintay lang na matakasan ang mundo, kundi maging asin at ilaw dito sa lupa.

Call to Action: Huwag mong hayaang nakatali ang pananampalataya mo sa kung ano ang trending sa balita o kung ano ang bago at patok na "prophecy book" sa Christian bookstores. Sa susunod na may mag-post sa feed mo ng nakatatakot na end-times video, i-off mo ang data mo, buksan mo ang Bibliya mo, at magpahinga ka sa katotohanang si Jesus ang Panginoon ng kasaysayan. Maging tapat tayo sa pagbuo ng pamilya, pagtatrabaho, at pagpapakalat ng Ebanghelyo ng Kaharian ngayon.

Kung lumaki ka sa isang evangelical church dito sa Pilipinas, malamang pamilyar ka sa linyahan tuwing Holy Week o youth camp: “Paano kung mag-Rapture bukas tapos maiwan ka?” Baka napanood mo pa nga yung Left Behind movies na patagagalin ka talaga sa takot.

Sa totoo lang, sikat na sikat sa Pinoy Christian culture ang ideya na may magkaibang plano ang Diyos para sa bansa ng Israel at para sa Church. Pero kung hihimayin natin ang Scripture gamit ang mas malalim na pag-aaral, mare-realize natin na ang tinatawag na Israel-Church distinction ay isang malaking teolohikal na myth lang.

The "Pause Button" Theology

Para sa mga dispensationalists, magkaiba ang redemptive programs ng Diyos. Sabi nila, nung tinanggihan ng mga Judio si Hesus, biglang pinatigil ng Diyos ang "prophetic clock" ng Israel.

Dito pumasok ang tinatawag nilang “mystery parenthesis” o ang Church Age isang pansamantalang singit sa pagitan ng ika-69 at ika-70 na linggo sa hula ni Daniel (Daniel 9:24–27).

Ayon sa timeline nila:

• Step 1: Biglang magkakaroon ng Secret Rapture kung saan kukunin ang Church.

• Step 2: Pagkaalis ng Church, magsisimulang tumakbo ulit ang prophetic clock.

• Step 3: Babalikan ng Diyos ang Israel para sa pitong taon ng Great Tribulation (ang literal na 70th week ni Daniel).

Medyo komplikado, 'di ba? Para kasing lumalabas na Plan B lang ang Church dahil nagka-problema sa Plan A (Israel).

Ang "Sine Qua Non" ng Dispensationalism

Bakit ba natin kailangang pag-usapan 'to? Kasi kung tatanggalin mo ang pader na naghihiwalay sa Israel at sa Church, guguho ang buong sistema ng dispensationalism.

Sabi nga ng sikat na dispensationalist author na si Charles Ryrie sa kanyang librong Dispensationalism:

"What marks off a person as a dispensationalist? What is the sine qua non (the absolutely indispensable part) of the system? … A dispensationalist keeps Israel and the church distinct.… This is probably the most basic theological test of whether or not a person is a dispensationalist, and it is undoubtedly the most practical and conclusive."

In short, kung hindi mo panghahawakan ang magkahiwalay na plano ng Diyos para sa Israel at Church, hindi ka dispensationalist. Kaya kung mapatunayan nating walang ‘two‑program view’ si God, automatic na babagsak ang buong eschatological timeline na nakasanayan natin

Pagwawasto sa Timeline: Isang New Covenant at Partial Preterist na Pananaw 

Dito sa Pilipinas, hilig nating mga Pinoy ang "patingi-tingi" o installment basis (parang de-hulog sa appliance). Minsan, ganyan din natin tingnan ang pangako ng Diyos hulugan at pira-piraso. Pero sa New Covenant Theology, nakikita natin ang buong picture ng katapatan ng Diyos na natupad na kay Kristo.

Hindi hinati ang plano ng Diyos. Ang Church ay hindi "isiningit lang" o Plan B. Ang Church ang mismong katuparan ng mga pangako ng Diyos sa Lumang Tipan! Kay Hesus, na Siyang "True Israel," ang mga Judio at Hentil ay pinag-isa para maging isang bagong sangkatauhan.

"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility." Ephesians 2:14-16 (NIV)

Walang dalawang magkaibang bayan ang Diyos; iisa lang ang Kanyang Tupa at iisa lang ang Kanyang Kawan.

Kung titingnan naman natin ang hula sa Daniel 9 gamit ang Partial Preterist na lens, hindi kailanman pinindot ng Diyos ang "pause button" sa 70th week.

• Ang 70th week ay hindi ipinagpaliban para sa future antichrist.

• Ito ay natupad mismo sa ministeryo ni Hesus, kung saan sa gitna ng pitong taon (week), Siya ay ipinako sa krus para tapusin ang pag-aalay ng mga hayop.

• Ang kasunod na paghatol at pagkawasak ng Jerusalem noong AD 70 ang nagmarka ng pormal na pagtatapos ng Old Covenant era.

Hindi natin kailangang maghintay ng panibagong pitong taon na tribulasyon para sa mga Judio dahil ang propesiya ay naganap na sa kasaysayan.

Bakit Ito Mahalaga para sa Pinoy Church?

Kapag patuloy nating pinaniwalaan ang myth na hiwalay ang Israel at Church, madadala tayo sa dalawang maling mindset:

1. Escapism Culture: Imbis na maging asin at ilaw tayo sa ating lipunan, nagiging mindset natin ay “Hayaan mo na silang maghirap, basta tayo maru-rapture din naman.” Nawawala ang drive nating magbunga at magbago ng komunidad.

2. Fear-Based Christianity: Nabubuhay ang maraming Pinoy Christians sa takot na baka mapag-iwanan sila ng tren ng Rapture, imbis na mag-enjoy sa kasiguruhan ng kaligtasan at tagumpay na napanalunan na ni Hesus.

Mga kapatid, ang kasaysayan ay hindi serye ng mga aksidente kung saan nagpabago-bago ng isip ang Diyos. Mula sa simula hanggang wakas, iisa lang ang Kanyang dakilang plano: ang pag-isahin ang lahat ng bagay kay Kristo Jesus sa pamamagitan ng New Covenant. At sa covenant na 'yan, tinitiyak natin na walang "parenthesis" dire-diretso ang tagumpay ng Kanyang Kaharian.
