Let’s break this down using our Q&A format para chill lang pero solid ang facts.

It was likely written between 300 BC and 100 BC ang tagal na nung panahon ni Enoch bago ito lumabas.

Parang mas "cool" pakinggan pag may alam tayong secret. Pero eto ang real talk: The 66 books we have are more than enough to lead us to salvation and a holy life.

New Covenant to love one another and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Huwag tayong magpaloko sa mga "secret revelations" kung hindi pa nga natin namu-master ang sermon on the mount.

Bible Verse:

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."  2 Timothy 3:16-17

Call to Action: Ngayong gabi, bago ka matulog, imbes na mag-rabbit hole sa YouTube about the Book of Enoch, buksan mo ang New Testament.

A: This is a classic example of category error. Ginagamit ng mga SDA ang verse na ito para i-backdoor ang dietary laws sa New Testament, pero if we look at the context—specifically through the biblical lens the argument actually falls apart.

Narito ang point-to-point refutation:

1. The Language of Desolation, Not Diet

In Revelation 18:2, John is using Judgement Imagery or a "Desolation Motif."

It symbolizes spiritual ruin and abandonment, not a dietary manual.

2. Physical Existence vs. Covenantal Law

New Covenant Theology reminds us that the physical nature of an animal doesn't change, but our covenantal relationship to it does. Under the New Covenant, the distinction between clean and unclean animals for food has been abolished (Mark 7:19; Acts 10:15; 1 Timothy 4:3-5).

John calls them "unclean" because technically, according to the Old Covenant categories they were familiar with, they were the "unclean" types of birds. However, using the term to describe a scene of judgment doesn't mean the ceremonial law is still binding on the believer’s conscience.

3. Spiritual Symbolism: "Unclean Spirits"

Notice the parallel in the same verse: "Babylon the great is fallen... and is become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird."

Ang context dito ay spiritual pollution. Ang mga "unclean birds" ay ginamit as a metaphor for demons and evil spirits. John is using Jewish imagery to explain a spiritual reality. To force a "pork and shrimp" argument into a passage about the fall of a demonic system is a massive reach.

4. The Fulfillment of the Law

Under New Covenant Theology, the Law of Moses (including the dietary code) was a tutor (Galatians 3:24-25) that pointed to Christ. Once the Reality (Christ) came, the shadows (clean/unclean meat) passed away. Revelation 18:2 doesn't "re-activate" the shadows; it simply uses familiar prophetic language to describe the judgment of those who rejected the Gospel.

Real Talk Reflection

"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Romans 14:17

The New Covenant is about the heart and the finished work of Christ. If you are in Christ, you are clean not because of what you eat, but because of His blood.

Call to Action: Stop looking for "unclean birds" in your kitchen and start looking for the "New Jerusalem" in your spirit. Focus on the substance of the Gospel, not the symbols of a bygone covenant.

Pero here’s the solid truth: Ang Bible ang pinaka-accurately transmitted book from the ancient world.

Kaya kung feeling mo "lost in translation" na tayo, let’s look at the evidence.

At noong 1947, natagpuan ang Dead Sea Scrolls sa Qumran, na nagbigay sa atin ng over 600 OT manuscripts—kasama na ang mga fragments na dated as early as the 3rd century B.C.

Bakit 'to big deal?

Spelling lang o slips of the pen. Sa buong book ng Isaiah, may 13 small changes lang, at walo doon ay kilala na natin from other sources. In short, walang nagbago sa message at meaning. God really preserved His Word through the centuries.

Ang New Testament: The Gold Standard ng History

Even textual scholars like Bruce Metzger and A.T. As believers holding a New Covenant perspective, we can be confident na ang hawak nating New Testament ay ang mismong mensahe na ibinigay sa mga Apostol.

Real Talk Reflection

Bible Verse:

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever." Isaiah 40:8

Open it, read it, and let the Holy Spirit speak to you. Trust the Book, because the Author is faithful!
