Let’s unpack this para clear.
Fact check: Sa Greco-Roman culture, pork was super popular. They didn’t follow Levitical kosher rules.
- Non-kosher slaughter: Walang ceremonial draining of blood.
Under New Covenant Theology, clear ito: The shadow (dietary laws) has met its Substance (Christ).
New Covenant Reality vs. Mosaic Shadows
- Law of Christ: Ang guide natin ngayon ay conscience at love for others, not Leviticus 11.
- Focus shift: For Paul, the issue was not “clean vs. unclean meat” but “stumbling block vs. freedom.” Kung hindi nakaka-offend sa kapatid mo, you’re free to eat even pork or idol meat.
Bakit kailangan itong ituro?
Pero sa 1 Corinto 10, Paul’s concern was conscience, not cholesterol. By saying “eat everything,” binuwag niya ang wall between Jewish and Gentile Christians.
Verdict: The makellon proves na early Church lived in a world full of “unclean” options, yet Paul gave the green light: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it” (v. 26).
