Christian Generosity under the New Covenant

Under New Covenant Theology (NCT), Christian stewardship and generosity are rooted not in the Mosaic legal system, but in the law of Christ, the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, and the finished work of the cross.

NCT emphasizes that Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic Covenant, including its civil, ceremonial, and moral regulations as a legal code, establishing a superior New Covenant. I. Ang Main Thesis ng NCT

• Proportional Giving (2 Cor. 8:12): Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, hindi dahil sapilitan.

• Cheerful Giving (2 Cor. 9:7): Ang "cheerful giver" ay nagbibigay dahil sa pasasalamat sa Ebanghelyo, hindi dahil takot sa sumpa.

• Christ-Centered Giving (2 Cor. 8:9): Si Kristo ang model natin. He gave 100% of His life. Sa harap ng sakripisyo ni Jesus, ang 10% ay nagiging starting point na lang, hindi ang ceiling.
