3. Question & Answer Bible Study with Exegetical Commentary

Q1: Why should Christians share their faith?

A: The Bible teaches that sharing the gospel is Christ’s command to His followers.

Verse: Matthew 28:19–20 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

Commentary:

The Great Commission is not for a select few but for every believer, making evangelism part of our identity in Christ.

Q2: What message are we to share?

A: The Bible teaches that we proclaim the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 – “…that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day…”

Commentary:

Our message is not about church rules or human wisdom — it’s about the finished work of Christ.

Q3: Who empowers us to share the gospel?

A: The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit gives believers power to be witnesses.

Verse: Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…”

Commentary:

Evangelism is not done in our own strength but through the Spirit’s guidance and boldness.

Q4: How should we share our faith?

A: The Bible teaches that we should speak the truth in love, with gentleness and respect.

Verse: 1 Peter 3:15 – “…always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”

Commentary:

Our tone matters — we aim to persuade, not provoke.

Q5: What if people reject the message?

A: The Bible teaches that our responsibility is to share faithfully, leaving the results to God.

Verse: 1 Corinthians 3:6 – “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”

Commentary:

Rejection is not failure; obedience in sharing is success in God’s eyes.

4. Reflection & Call to Action

  • Reflection: Who in my life needs to hear the gospel, and what is stopping me from sharing?

  • Call to Action:

    1. Write down two names of people you can pray for and approach this week.

    2. Practice sharing your personal testimony in 3 minutes or less.

    3. Ask God daily for opportunities to witness and the courage to take them.

5. Closing Prayer

"Lord Jesus, thank You for entrusting us with the gospel. Make us bold, loving, and faithful in telling others about You. Amen."
