The Mission and Vision of Former Adventists Philippines: Our Identity, Purpose, and Strategy

Introduction: Who We Are and Why We Exist

Former Adventists Philippines (FAP) is more than a ministry. It's a Gospel-centered discipleship and apologetics movement birthed from the conviction that salvation is by grace alone through faith in Christ alone—not by works, law-keeping, or prophetic allegiance to Ellen White.

For years, many within the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) system lived in spiritual fear, anxiety, and confusion. But by God’s grace, a new generation of believers has risen believers who have stepped out of Adventist legalism and into the freedom of the New Covenant. FAP exists to guide, disciple, and equip those coming out of Adventism into the fullness of the Gospel.

1. Our Identity: What Is FAP?

FAP is not a local church. We are a national discipleship ministry composed of former SDAs and transitioning members. We are committed to biblical theology, pastoral care, and robust apologetics.

We support two main groups:

  • Former SDAs now worshiping in Gospel-centered churches.

  • Questioning SDAs who are beginning to reevaluate Ellen White, the Sabbath, the Investigative Judgment, and SDA exclusivism.

We provide a safe and Scripture-based space for these individuals to process their journey and discover New Covenant life in Christ.

2. Our Mission: What We Do

“Expose the false doctrines of Adventism, proclaim the sufficiency of Christ, and disciple transitioning SDAs into gospel-centered, local church membership.”

We accomplish this through:

  • Discipleship and spiritual formation

  • Apologetics and polemics addressing SDA theology

  • Bible teaching and expositional preaching

  • Church partnerships and regional discipleship hubs

We equip former Adventists to understand:

  • The finished work of Christ

  • The role of the Mosaic law in redemptive history

  • The identity of the true church

  • The sufficiency of Scripture alone

  • The freedom and responsibility of the New Covenant believer

3. Our Vision: Where We’re Headed

“To see former Adventists across the Philippines rooted in the Gospel of grace, living within biblical churches, and equipped to disciple others in truth and love.”

  • Rooted in biblical doctrine

  • Growing in grace and truth

  • Active in the Great Commission

  • Partnering with churches of like faith

  • Defending the faith against false doctrines

We are raising up leaders, publishing resources, holding conferences, and training churches to reach SDAs with compassion and clarity.

4. Our Core Beliefs

  • Sola Scriptura: The Bible alone is our highest authority

  • Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus: Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone

  • Ellen G. White is not a prophetess, and her writings hold no divine authority

  • The Sabbath was a shadow, not a sign of end-time faithfulness (Col. 2:16-17)

  • The Gospel is Christ's finished work, not a mixture of law and grace

  • The true church is not a denomination, but the Body of Christ composed of all believers

5. A Word of Encouragement

If you are reading this and feel unsure, afraid, or even confused—you are not alone. Thousands of believers have left Adventism and found new life in Christ, not by joining another group, but by being united to Jesus by faith.

Let us walk with you. You are not leaving behind truth—you are leaving behind the shadows and finding the One who is Truth Himself.

"For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)
