Answer:Isa ‘to sa mga tanong na madalas tinatabunan o iwasan ng maraming Adventist pastors. Pero sige, pag-usapan natin nang diretso walang takot, pero may respeto.
Una sa lahat, oo, totoo na may ilang Seventh-day Adventist pastors at leaders lalo na sa North America, Europe, at maging sa Asia na naging Freemasons o nagkaroon ng koneksyon sa Masonic lodges. 1. The Appeal: Prestige, Power, and Influence
Freemasonry, historically, ay hindi lang secret group ng mga “mystical men.” It’s a network of influence comprising businessmen, politicians, educators, and occasionally even clergy. Para sa isang pastor (lalo na sa denominational system tulad ng SDA), ang pagiging Freemason ay nagbubukas ng pinto sa mga koneksyon. Ibig sabihin, may access ka sa influential people donors, politicians, social elites. At sa isang organisasyong global tulad ng SDA na may hospitals, schools, and publishing houses ang mga “connections” na ‘yan ay strategic asset. Kaya nga sa totoo lang, hindi religious benefits ang hanap nila kundi social leverage.
2. The Problem: Spiritual Conflict
Ito ang malaking problema: Ang Freemasonry ay fundamentally incompatible sa biblical Christianity lalo na sa Adventist doctrine na sobrang strict pagdating sa “pure truth” and “separation from the world.”

So kapag isang SDA pastor (na dapat ay nagtuturo ng sola scriptura) ay sumali sa Freemasonry (na nagtuturo ng all paths lead to the Great Architect), may direct spiritual contradiction. Hindi mo puwedeng pagsamahin ang “Christ alone” at “Brotherhood of all faiths.” It’s like trying to mix light and darkness; it won’t work.
3. The “Benefits” They Think They Get
Para sagutin nang direkta ang tanong mo ano ba talaga ang benefits nila?

Networking power – access to influential circles.

Financial support – may mga grants, assistance, or connections na nagagamit para sa projects.

Career protection – sa ilang bansa, being Masonic means may “cover” ka sa loob ng government or institutions.

False sense of enlightenment – kasi tinuturo ng Freemasonry na “enlightenment” ang reward ng initiation.
Pero spiritually speaking, walang tunay na benefit. Kung meron man, pansamantala lang at materialistic hindi eternal.
4. From a Biblical & Pastoral Viewpoint
Ang sabi ni Jesus:
“No one can serve two masters... You cannot serve God and money.” (Matthew 6:24)
At sabi ni Paul:
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14)
Kung isang pastor ay nasa parehong pulpito ng SDA church at lodge ng Masonry, ibig sabihin, divided loyalty na siya. Ang Bible calls it spiritual adultery. Hindi mo puwedeng sambahin si Cristo habang nag-oath sa isang brotherhood na tumatangging kilalanin Siya bilang the only Lord and Savior.
Straight Talk:
“Freemasonry promises enlightenment, but delivers blindness. It offers brotherhood, but without Christ, it’s just a hollow fraternity. Ang tunay na liwanag ay hindi galing sa Lodge, kundi sa Krus ni Kristo.”
Kaya kung may pastor man Adventist o hindi na sumasali sa Freemasonry, ang dahilan ay hindi spiritual conviction, kundi social advantage. Pero tandaan: “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
